Accurate Shutdown 6.3

There are some things you are going to like about this Accurate Solution-developed application, and some things that you may not like. Let’s take a look at your Accurate Shutdown experience, in a logical progression, and see what you are going to like and what you are not going to like.

The first step you must take is to get Accurate Shutdown off the web and onto your computer. Since the download weighs in at 1.2MB, it will not take long for the download to complete (not even if you are on a less than spectacular internet connection). To my mind, not having to wait long for a download to complete is always nice.

The second step you must take is to install the application on your Windows powered PC. You will like that installing the application is a simple process; all you have to do is follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard, and everything will go along smoothly and rapidly. You will not like that Accurate Shutdown provides support only for Windows 98, ME, 2000, and Windows XP (at the time of writing this and according to the developer).

What about using Accurate Shutdown? What’s to like and what’s not to like about using the application. You will like that you can use Accurate Shutdown to automatically perform certain tasks. By using Accurate Shutdown you can shutdown, reboot, lock, hibernate, or put your computer on standby at a specific time or after a specific amount of time has passed. You can for example reboot your computer at 9PM, or you can reboot your computer after 1hour.

You can also instruct Accurate Shutdown to access a website, launch an application, or open a file at a specific time or after a specific amount of time. From the Accurate Shutdown icon in the System Tray you can turn off, reboot, and so on you computer right then and there.

You will not like that Accurate Shutdown is only free to try. You can try the application free of charge for a period of 7-days, which isn’t a lot of time. If the short trial period was not enough, some features are disabled in the trial version (for example the option to password protected Accurate Shutdown and ensure only you have access to the application).
